Southroads will be in charge of road maintenance in the Clutha district for the first time in six years.

Three tenders were received by the Clutha District Council for the road maintenance contract, SouthRoads winning with a price of $17.5 million over three years.

SouthRoads Otago regional manager Dean Elder says SouthRoads is looking forward to working with the council and the community.
