Otago was experienced the second strongest growth in rural property sales in the nation for the three months ended April.

Data released Real Estate Institute of NZ shows there were 66 more farm sales, up 16.2%, for the three months ended April 2017 compared with the same period last year.

10 regions recorded increases in sales volume; Waikato recorded the largest with 29 more sales, followed by Otago with 17 more sales..

Across the country there were 473 farm sales in the three months ended April this year.
