Food prices have remained relatively static over the last year, up just 1%.
Prices for meat, poultry and fish have risen, but that's been offset by cheaper bread, cheese and butter.
The cost of beef has increased the most - up almost 10%.
Overall it's proving to be a good month for household budgets, with reasonable food prices and much cheaper fuel.
Petrol and diesel are both expected to get cheaper still, providing relief for households dealing with the financial aftermath of Christmas.
