Today is national tartan day, so in Dunedin there were kilts and plus fours swinging in the breeze.

Dunedin Pipers and Dancers were among those welcoming Pacific Blue to town, with highland flings being flung far and wide.

While many of those at the event were proudly displaying their colours, even some of the Pacific Blue team came to the party.

The Dunedin Tartan was in clear view and celebrated its 10th year as an official tartan, after being officially registered in 1988.
