A proposed camping ground development at Beaumont is set to begin in the coming weeks, now that the summer holiday period has ended.

Beaumont Hotel owner Alison Mills announced plans to expand the camping and holiday park at the start of the year.

The first stage of the five-year plan is to build new cabins on the 1 hectare site behind the hotel.

The new cabins will add to existing cabins to form a 70-lot campground as well as amenities and ablution blocks.
