The residents of Holmdene rest home are happy at the news the Clutha District Council will fix cracked footpaths in Balclutha.

Last month, residents presented a petition to Clutha Mayor Bryan Cadogan asking to have fixed the cracked and potholed footpaths in Elizabeth and Charlotte Streets, near Holmdene.

The petition has more than two hundred signatures from residents, staff and friends or family of Holmdene.

Work is anticipated to start at the end of the week and be completed by mid-June.
