The University of Otago has released a map of the areas in South Dunedin most likely to be effected by any future flooding.

The research team's findings show the lowest lying areas of the city, particularly those in South Dunedin, which were grossly impacted by the 2015 floods.

A Parliamentary inquiry found South Dunedin is the area in the country most vulnerable to sea level rise.
