Two weeks into his residency as this year's Burns Fellow, David Howard describes the experience of becoming creative full-time as 'wonderfully terrifying'.

And he is keeping busy banishing the shadows of previous Fellows from his new office to prevent himself from 'gumming up with fear by following in their footsteps'.
