Osmers worked on dozens of southern sheep stations in his youth and built up a large collection of photos of high country life.

Residents have started to quiz Queenstown Airport's management team over the company’s plans to expand its noise boundaries and almost double aircraft movements by twenty forty five.

Dozens of people living in the area affected by the airport's proposed 30 year master plan attended a community drop-in session at Queenstown Events Centre over the weekend to voice their concerns and find out more about the plans.

Four members of Queenstown's Sky City Stampede ice hockey team have been suspended, following a brawl during last weekend's match with the West Auckland Admirals.

The all-in brawl occurred just before the end of the second period of the match in Queenstown.

After several days of deliberation, the New Zealand Ice Hockey Federation has suspended four players from each side.

The suspensions range from three games to one.

The Federation says photos and videos were taken into consideration before the punishments were handed out.

Queenstown Airport has announced plans to significantly expand its noise boundaries into residential areas.

The plans also include a doubling of aircraft movements by twenty forty five.

But residents living within the new boundaries are being given five weeks to respond to the proposed changes.
