Queenstown Primary School pupils have enjoyed a bicycle ride with a skeleton and got up close and personal with mock faeces at the Science Roadshow this week.
The school hosted the event to give the youngsters an interactive lesson in all things science as part of the roadshow's one hundred and twenty stop tour of New Zealand.

After eight years, hundreds of thousands of dollars, and plenty of hard slog, work's finally started on Queenstown Coastguard's new home.
The team of volunteers is set to shift from their current base in a storage shed at Frankton Marina to a purpose built facility early next year.

A horrific fatal crash near Kingston, has fanned safety concerns regarding the tourist highway,heading into the busy summer season.
One person was killed and 10 injured, one critically, after a car and bus collided on State Highway 6 just south of Kingston yesterday.
Police have confirmed, the car involved was a rental carrying two foreign nationals.
The driver of the car remains in a critical condition.
It was the second fatal crash involving a car and tourist bus in the area, in just over two weeks.

The owner of Queenstown's skifields has announced a thirty five million dollar investment project featuring a chondola, new lift, and summer offerings.
The chondola will feature a mix of chairs and gondola cabins to replace the Coronet Express.
NZSki chief executive Paul Anderson says the investment is massive.
The major upgrades follow a bumper ski season, with operations up about twenty percent.
Those not so keen on the cold will be able to check out Coronet in summer, with the company seeking to offer guided walks, sightseeing and mountain biking.

State Highway 6 has reopened near Kingston after a crash between a car and a tourist bus left 1 person dead and 10 injured this morning
The two vehicles collided shortly before seven thirty 7.30am on a notorious stretch of road.

Queenstown celebrated Diwali on Sunday night with a crowd of almost five hundred packed in to the town's Memorial Centre.
Performers marked the Hindu festival of lights, which was being held for the fourth year in the resort.

A new trail at Tucker Beach has been officially opened, three years after gaining approval from the Queenstown Lakes District Council, and given to the community by Rotary Queenstown.

Queenstown's mayor says further development along Ladies' Mile is improbable unless the New Zealand Transport Agency can find a solution to increasing traffic congestion.
Roadworks at the notorious Tucker Beach Road intersection have exacerbated existing traffic woes along State Highway 6 - with reduced speed limits likely to be in place until at least the end of January.
The speed limit in the vicinity of the roadworks was initially lowered from 80 to 60 kilometres per hour.
That's now been reduced to 30.

Queenstown Primary School have celebrated the more than forty different cultures represented at the school.
They've held an International Day, with students able to get a taste of the nationalities that make their school so unique.
