It was a case of high fashion for a good cause in Queenstown last night, as models strutted their stuff to raise money for breast cancer research.

The fourth annual Queenstown Fashion for a Cure event was held at The Grille, where hundreds of people packed in to check out the show.

It's been nearly ten years since Arrowtown identity Kevin Lynch died, leaving behind a comedic and musical legacy that led him to be known as one of New Zealand's best-known entertainers.

To mark the milestone, his children gathered back in Arrowtown for a very special show at The Fork and Tap.

Bomb detector dog Toby and his handler Andrew Buchanan have put Queenstown on the map with their success in a national competition to find the country's top sniffer dogs.

The Queenstown-based pair entered the National Police Patrol and Detector Dog Championships earlier this year to challenge other explosive detection duos from across the country.

Queenstown's biggest marathon to date has seen more than eleven thousand runners take to the resort’s streets in surprise sunshine on Saturday.

Thousands of visitors were in town for the Queenstown International Marathon, with the event boosting the local economy by an estimated eight million dollars.

Archaeologists have been digging up part of an Arrowtown golf course to uncover the remaining ruins of an Irish family's nineteenth century home.

Benjamin Teele, a senior archaeologist at Origin Consultants, is leading the project to reveal the full scale of the small Shanahan family cottage, in which six children were raised.
